The Black Masking Indians of New Orleans were in the streets for St. Joseph's Night last night and one of our volunteer photographers, Ryan Hodgson-Rigsbee, was out to capture some of the striking moments as the Indians donned their elaborate suits of beads and feathers in neighborhoods throughout New Orleans.
Pictured here are Big Chief Dowee Robair of Black Hatchet, 9th Ward Hunters, Big Chief Keitoe of the 9th Ward Seminoles, Monogram Hunters Council Chief Merline, Mystik Seven Sisters, Creole Wild West Big Queen Rukiya meeting FiYiYi Big Queen Cinnamon Black, Cheyenne Council Chief Al Womble and Big Queen Wanda Womble, Golden Feather, and FiYiYi Big Chief Victor Harris.
