Come and “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” with the Mande Milkshakers Sunday, October 29th from 4-8pm on the Mandeville Lakefront then party at the Mandeville Trailhead With live music from Voodoo Gumbo, Abita Beer and the Louisiana Seafood Gumbo Cookoff! The Walk a Mile Mandeville event provides an opportunity for everyone in the community, young and old, to take a stand against domestic violence and stand up for the women in their life by raising funds for the great work of Safe Harbor Northshore. Safe Harbor is a non-profit, non-government agency in St. Tammany Parish serving survivors and their minor children who are victims of domestic abuse. We can provide a safe place to stay and a variety of critical support services ranging from crisis intervention, legal advocacy, playgroups, emotional support, and community-based referrals for kids. The Mande Milkshakers is the Northshore’s first marching group and women’s organization. With over 80 members, the ladies work year round promoting the pillars of Fun, Friendship, Fitness, and Philanthropy through community and charity events.
