Pete Olynciw is a New Orleans-based bassist, songwriter, and arranger who is perhaps best known for his work with the Grammy-winning Leyla McCalla. Olynciw’s musical sounds range from calypso to experimental jazz; when not performing with McCalla, he can be heard in his own combos, collaborating with Brian Coogan, Simon Lott, and other noted cutting edge jazz-centric artists. He performs at festivals, concert halls, and dive bars around the world and at home in New Orleans.
