Robert Finley lives in the small town of Bernice, Louisiana, right near the Arkansas line. In his younger days, music took him all over the world. He served in the Army as a teenager, went to Europe as a helicopter technician, but soon switched to serve as the leader of the Army band. In this position, he toured the continent many times over as guitarist and vocalist. Following his rambling military service, he learned the trade of carpentry and settled back home in the States. He leaned on his gospel and blues songs for a hobby rather than career, and stayed close to home. His latest LP, Goin’ Platinum! was released through Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound in fall 2017.
In conjunction with that release, Finley appeared at the 2017 Crescent City Blues & BBQ Fest. Check out his performance of 'Come On' below.
