When people outside of the city decide to throw a New Orleans related party, the music source just has to be WWOZ. New Hampshire resident Mimi Morton found a great way to celebrate our culture and educate at the same time.
Mimi says: "On Lundi Gras and Mardi Gras, I brought WWOZ into my classroom at Keene State College where, with the miracle of the Internet, my International Short Fiction class was able to listen to the sounds of New Orleans while they ate my chicken jambalaya and discussed stories set in New Orleans and in Carnival in Panama. The morning of Lundi Gras, I was in my Vermont kitchen cooking up that jambalaya while I listened to WWOZ. If you can't be in New Orleans, the second best thing is to listen to WWOZ while you cook New Orleans food. Love to ya'll."
