We are happy to announce a new show Saturday mornings, Weekend New Orleans, with host Rockin' Ron Phillips. Listeners will hear a mixture of New Orleans-centric music from various genres including Trad Jazz, R&B, soul, funk, brass bands, and more each Saturday from 8-10a. Rockin' Ron will also share the events that are happening in and around the Crescent City that weekend, including major concerts, second line parades, festivals, and community events.

Ron has volunteered at WWOZ for over three years and been an avid listener and supporter for over 15 years. He's subbed for various shows on WWOZ, including the New Orleans Music Show, Sunday Morning Gospel, weeknight Blues and R&B shows, and more.
