Saint Augustine Church (OUTDOORS)
Historic St. Augustine Catholic Church was established in 1841. It is located in the Treme neighborhood and is proud of its multi-cultural and multi-racial history. It has a dedicated music ministry offering several Jazz/Gospel Masses throughout the year featuring some of New Orleans’ finest musicians and St. Augustine Church Soulful Voices Choir.
Upcoming Shows
Treme Fall Fest is celebrating ten years this weekend! Head out to the St. Augustine Catholic Church Yard on Saturday, October 25, 11am-6pm, for wonderful local food, art, and some of the very best in live, local music!
The festival will kick off at 10am with a traditional second line parade through the neighborhood featuring brass bands, Baby Dolls, Zulu Tramps, this year's cultural honoree, Big Chief Victor Harris, and more. Meet at the corner of Kerlerec Street & Henriette Delille Street.
This year's performers include Shamarr Allen, Kermit Ruffins, Herlin Riley, Original Pinettes Brass Band, Leroy Jones & the Treme All-Stars with Mitchell Player and Shannon Powell, and Eliza Sonnenschein.
There will also be a Sunday Gospel Mass held at the church on October 26 starting at 10am.
