Calling young people and youth organizations across New Orleans! The NOLA Youth Town Hall: August 3 at The New Orleans African American Museum (New Orleans, LA) – Dancing Grounds is excited to announce the third annual NOLA Youth Town Hall, a dynamic event designed to empower and uplift the voices of New Orleans youth. The event will take place on August 3rd at the New Orleans African American Museum from 11am-3pm. The NOLA Youth Town Hall offers a platform for young people to connect, share their perspectives, and access resources that support their growth and development. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions, participate in interactive workshops, and enjoy inspiring performances by the Dance for Social Change (DSC) Juniors and Teen Company. DSC is supported by prominent local institutions working together to lift the creative talents of New Orleans youth, including the New Orleans Tourism and Cultural Fund, The Helis Foundation, and many more. Festival events will engage dozens of teens citywide as audience members and participating artists. NOLA Youth Town Hall Event Schedule 11am- Event Begins Creative Corner: Waist beads w/Empress, t-shirt decorating, back-to-school giveaway, and a creative activity station Wellness Zone: Ellie’s Mental Health, Hair braiding by Malaya, Natural hair styling by Daija, Nail care by Courtney Family Fun: Kid’s corner, games (4 corners, cornhole, jump rope, hula hoops), and bounce house 12pm- Activities Sculpting w/ Phoenix Yoga for kids with Ifáṣemílóore Letters to your Inner Child with Akilah Toney 1pm- Performances by DSC JUNIORS + TEENS 2pm- Enjoy delicious pizza from Pizza D 3pm- Event ends
