Jamie Bernstein

Jamie Bernstein is a singer-songwriter from West Virginia who has lived in New Orleans for the past 30 years. He is a prolific writer and performer, who flavors his native bluegrass and self-described hillbilly musical tendencies with a full shaker of Crescent City spice.  He can be heard as a solo artist or in several combos, notably in The Zen Cowboys, a duo with steel guitarist Dave Easely, and The Yakameiniacs, with Easley and Adrian Eggleston. Bernstein is also an actor in film and television, appearing in Preacher, HBO’s Treme, American Horror Story, Scream Queen, Roots, and more. His latest release, the album Zeus, features well-crafted original tunes like “Not a City, A Star” and “My Hillbilly Ways.”
