11pm-4am | With Cancer being the feminine water sign of love, care, and devotion she is, it makes sense that Essence Festival would fall right in the middle of her season. This year, an auspicious New Moon in Cancer falls on Friday July 5th just as the festival weekend is getting underway. As such, we at Ascendance are excited to celebrate both Cancer season and Black womanhood with an all-Black woman DJ takeover of our main room, bringing together five talented selectors from all three coasts, headlined by the Jersey Club Queen herself, Uniiqu3!

Anyone who knows anything about our events knows we turn up all the way, and we do so with as much emphasis on joy and celebration as with safety and security, so please remember we are a consent only community where you must get permission before you touch and all personal boundaries must be respected!
