Armstrong Park (OUTDOORS)
The "future site of the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park," Louis Armstrong Park is located in the Fauberg Tremé, right outside the French Quarter on North Rampart Street. Armstrong Park was created to honor New Orleans' favorite son, the great Louis Armstrong, and to preserve the site of Congo Square.
Upcoming Shows
This event aims to shine a light on the rapid proliferation of methane gas (known as LNG) production and exportation plants in the Gulf Coast that are causing irreparable damage to our lands, waterways, and people here on our coasts.
It’s expected that over a thousand people attend to demand a stop to corporation subsidies and condemn environmental injustices in Louisiana, like entire parishes in the south without drinking water for over three months, and other regions of the South.
Power Up in the Gulf will have live music, DJs, food trucks, art activations, and special guest speakers sharing their stories from the frontlines. Live musical acts include NOLA's own Big Freedia, Mannie Fresh and Ha Sizzle with DJ sets by DJ Legatron and MC'd by comedian Kamari Stevens. Special frontline speakers: Davante Lewis Roishetta Ozane Breon Robinson and more to be announced soon
This event is free and open to the public.
