Upcoming Shows

Little Amal, the internationally celebrated 12-foot-tall puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee girl, will be arriving in New Orleans from October 14-15, 2023 as part of her epic 6,000-mile journey across the United States this fall. During her stops in New Orleans, The Andre Cailloux Center, Courtney Bryan and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Freinds of Lafitte Greenway,  Goat in The Road Productions, The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Mudlark, Mondo Bizarro, Music Box Village, No Dream Deferred, The Preservation Hall Foundation and Xavier University will create a series of theatrical “events of welcome” for Amal. Amal’s walk will shed light on refugee rights and the environmental impact of displacement on children.

On Sunday, October 15th (6-9pm) Amal will take a walk from 620 France Street (Bywater) to the Music Box Village (4557 N. Rampart Street) featuring Wit's End Brass Band, Frederick Douglas High School Drumline, Music Box Village House Band, iGrac, Interrobang, The Flaming Flagettes, and more!
