“We’re Going Down to the Mardi Gras,” a documentary feature film, will have its World Premiere on Play2Fund.com on January 2 at 8:00am (EST) and run through February 16, 2021. The making of Henry Turner Jr.’s Baton Rouge Mardi Gras Festival is filled with music, Mardi Gras Indians and reverie. Narrated by festival founder Henry Turner Jr. it explores his childhood fascination with Mardi Gras and his quest to create and produce the city’s very first Mardi Gras Festival in 2014. “We’re Going Down to the Mardi Gras” was produced Rebirth Film Shield Productions and Hit City Digital TV. Songs by Henry Turner Jr. & Flavor include "I'm Going Down to the Mardi Gras" and the "Baton Rouge Theme Song." The film covers the history of the festival from its founding up to present.
