Walter "Wolfman" Washington is a New Orleans living legend. His soulful guitar playing and low-down funky songs have been entertaining both local and international audiences for a long time.

Walter started his career off as a teenager in the 1950's by backing vocalist Lee Dorsey and then Johnny Adams, "The Tan Canary."  His long-standing gigs at the Maple Leaf and d.b.a. (to name a few) have been a special source of joy for many people.

"Wolfman" is once again showing his support for WWOZ by coming in to the station to perform during the Spring 2010 Membership Drive. This will be a real treat for blues and R&B fans.  Hosted by Andrew Grafe.
