POPULAR LOUISIANA SONGWRITERS WILL WRITE A SONG WITH MUSIC FANS IN FOLSOM, LA
The event pays tribute to the memory of lifelong northshore resident Logan Scott Camp
NEW ORLEANS – Award-Winning local Producer Steven Scaffidi of Ghost Rider Pictures will team up with renowned New Orleans Piano Man John Autin and popular Louisiana singer/songwriter Eli Seals for a unique music jam session where the audience participates in writing a song live at the event. This one-of-a kind music experience encourages fans to become part of the music and co-writers of a real song...with the ultimate goal of writing a “hit song”. The song will be inspired by and dedicated to the memory of Madisonville, LA resident Logan Scott Camp, who lost his life at the young age of twenty-two in a tragic workplace accident. A percentage of the publishing rights and songwriter royalties will go to the Logan Scott Camp Water Fowl Preservation Fund on behalf of the audience at the event along with any other contributions.
This “interactive music experience” is part of the Hit Me America series which has already produce 15 original songs featured on the newly released album “Rock the House”. Past songs, such as, “Easy Breezy”, “Hard Times Don’t Hit Me No More” and “Rebound Road Trip” were written with the kids at Children’s Hospital, The homeless at a New Orleans homeless shelter, and tourists at a local watering hole on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras.
Autin and Seals will face the ultimate challenge of their career with event producer and host Scaffidi, as they allow the audience to take the lead in the songwriting process. Nothing is off limits for the audience members who are encouraged to toss out story lines, lyrics, melodies or anything else to help the songwriters accomplish their goal of writing a hit song on the spot. Audience members will also take part in the production by using their smart phones to film the first live performance of their song and uploading clips to YouTube and Social Media pages during this groundbreaking interactive music event.
