For the past 49 years, Trinity Christian Community, Inc. has worked very hard to increase the quality of life for the poor and marginalized families in New Orleans. In 1998, TCC opened its doors in the Hollygrove neighborhood and began to revitalize and re-imagine that community. Over the past 17 years, TCC has been empowering youth by offering educational camps each summer, mentorship programs, an after-school program, and opportunities for scholarships for higher learning. It is our goal to walk with children and their families from kindergarten through college. In doing so, we can accomplish our mission to empower youth through leadership, spiritual development, educational support, and community outreach.
To contribute to the empowering of youth in New Orleans, Trinity Christian Community is presents Gumbo Cook-Off for a Cause: Supporting the Youth of Hollygrove. This fundraiser will be held on Sunday, September 25 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Rock ‘n’ Bowl on 3000 S. Carrollton Ave. It will include an afternoon of music and fun where attendees can participate in creating opportunities for children and families in the Hollygrove community. There will also be a silent auction and of course plenty of bowling.
