Doors 7pm | Show 8pm | Sagapo Greek Choir and Sirocco Brass bring a night of Mediterranean music to Cafe Istanbul.
The Sagapo Choir and Sirocco Brass are organizing an evening of Mediterranean song and culture at Cafe Istanbul. Sagapo Choir will be celebrating the finale of their fall/winter season with a recital of both traditional and modern Greek songs. Sirocco Brass, for their part, will be launching their brand new EP, and first professional recording. The evening will also feature New Orleans' most popular psychedelic cumbia band, Los Güiros, who brings a blend of traditional folkloric music of Colombia and the trippy and electronic sounds of Peruvian Chicha.
In honor of Mardi Gras season, attendees are encouraged to arrive in costume, in the theme of "Psychedelic Mediterranean Carnival." Food from Leziz, an eastern Mediterranean pop-up, will also be for sale.
Tickets are $15 at the door, or $10 if in costume
