Deutsches Haus Kulturabend on Tuesday, September 17, at 7pm. Will host Dr. Ina J Fandrich, author of the book “Marie Laveau, the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans (1801-1881)”, investigates the emergence of powerful female leadership in New Orleans’ voodoo tradition. Her talk will address the misconceptions and facts about Marie Laveau and include a few words concerning her relationship with German immigrants.
