Located at the foot of Esplanade Avenue, the New Orleans Jazz Museum, located in the Old U.S. Mint, is a national historic landmark that is part of the Louisiana State Museum system.

You can hear great music from some of New Orleans’ best contemporary artists in the state-of-the-art performance venue on the New Orleans Jazz Museum’s third floor. The Museum uses the space for evening programs, solo and small group concerts and special events while the New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park offers daily live music programs for local residents and visitors to the Museum. The Jazz Museum is hosting a fundraising concert to help send the Jazz Ambassadors to San Jose and Limon, Costa Rica to share the unique culture and music of the Crescent City!
The New Orleans Jazz Ambassadors Program is an initiative between the New Orleans Jazz Museum and local universities, providing a rotating roster of New Orleans music students with the opportunity to perform abroad and serve as ambassadors for the city.
The Jazz Ambassadors will be sharing their traditional brass band music at Teatro Nacional in San Jose, hosting master classes in rural towns and local schools, and participating in the Grand Parade honoring Afrodescendente Day in the Costa Rican Caribbean.
