The Department of Latin American Studies at the University of New Orleans Presents: The Son Jarocho Band, Son de Madera, from Veracruz, Mexico. Son Jarocho is a creole style of music that emerged from African, Arab Andalucian, and indigenous influences in Mexico. The band will play a free concert at the Robert E Nims Theatre at the UNO Performance Arts Center.
