New Orleans has about 100 official and unofficial parades every year during carnival season, as well as special concerts and events. Last weekend, WWOZ's videographer went to seven of these and here are some excerpts of what he saw. The music ranged from New Orleans brass tunes to a Mardi Gras Indian prayer ('Indian Red'), Haitian 'vodou rock 'n' roots,' and a Beastie Boys cover.
