On Saturday, May 8, from 10am to 12pm CT, WWOZ will host an on-air memorial tribute to volunteer show host Ron Phillips, who died on April 27. Ron had been with WWOZ for almost ten years, most recently as the host of the Saturday morning show Weekend New Orleans. Many WWOZ show hosts who knew Ron have lent their voices to this tribute program.

Later that day, at 4pm CT, WWOZ will air a tribute to longtime volunteer show host Suzanne Corley, who died on April 26 after living with metastatic breast cancer for almost seven years. She had been with the station since the early 2000s, and had been the host of the Tudo Bem Brazilian show and the World Journey show for the last 15 years. On the tribute, show host Dean Ellis will present some of Suzanne's favorite musical selections, as well as some of her writings.
