Since the 1960s, Nigerian Afro-pop pioneer Orlando Julius has merged western pop, soul, and R&B with traditional African sounds and rhythms. In this video, he does a steamy, funky version of "Aseni" with the Heliocentrics (a London-based musical collective combining funk, jazz and hip-hop influences) at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.
