When the river starts to rise from all the snow melting up north, it's time for live outdoor music to make its return! Jazz In the Park at Armstrong Park relaunches in just under a month with a stellar lineup of free weekly concerts running mid-April to mid-June. Kicking off this spring's festivities will be the Honey Island Swamp Band and The Revealers on Thursday, April 16. A Second Line at 4pm will precede the show.
This season will also feature the Treme Art Exhibit with the work of 23 artists. Their art will showcase the lives of past and present Treme residents, both those you have heard of and those you probably haven't. The art also highlights the physical places in Treme that hold the spirit and culture of the community.
Catch a preview of what's to come in both music and art in the video preview released by People United for Armstrong Park below.
