On September 28 at the second Bogalusa Blues & Heritage Festival, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown will be honored in the Heritage tribute. Admired for his influential genre-bending blend of blues, cajun, country and funk, Brown recorded a bunch of albums at Studio in the Country near Bogalusa.

In the video below (recored in 2004), Gatemouth plays an hour-long set for students at Loyola University of New Orleans (part of a master class in playing music). Brown also talks about his music between songs, as at the 13min 40sec mark, where he tells the stroy behind his song "Dollar Got the Blues" ("Used to be two-for-one, now it's one-for-two"), which he wrote in 1971 in France after President Nixon ("Tricky Dick", as Gatemouth refers to him) devalued the American dollar.
