Join us Wednesday March 3rd when the small hand on the clock is on ten and the big hand is on twelve as we play at least two hours of the music of our "Musical Heroes" Dave Bartholomew and Cosimo Matassa.
Dave Bartholomew and Cosimo Matassa and the 60th Anniversary of Fats Domino's "The Fat Man" will be honored on Friday March 5, 2010 at the The Louisiana State Museum's Cabildo in the French Quarter.
"The Fat Man" was recorded on December 10th, 1949 at Cosimo Matassa's J&M Studio with Fats on piano and vocals and the following band: Earl Palmer on drums, Frank Fields on bass, Ernest McLean on guitar and Herbert Hardesty, Clarence Hall, Joe Harris and Red Tyler in the horn section.
Dave Bartholomew and Cosimo Matassa will be in attendance to accept an award for their contribution to music history - without them, it's difficult to imagine Louisiana's musical panorama.
Tickets Start at $50. To find out more about ticket levels and purchase tickets visit the LA Museum Foundation web site or call (504) 558-0493.
