Space - where many of our listeners reside
On Wednesday May 13 and May 20, the Radio Wave Scientists on Jazz Lunatique will celebrate 16 (YES, THAT'S RIGHT!) years on the air in New Orleans on WWOZ FM New Orleans proud to crawl home. The exact date has been lost in the shifting sand, mold, mud, and lost brain cells of time, but sometime back in May 1993, Jazz Lunatique was born. That's 16 years of late night craziness. No, we can't believe it either. 16 straight years of doing radio when only people like us who have escaped the asylum can listen. Please tune your radio to 90.7 FM as we throw down some of the hits from Ellington to RA, Booker to Black, Coleman to Ayler, the Art Ensemble to the Either/Orchestra and all sorts of wildness in between. It's such a big show that it will take two shows to do it all. So as usual, we make no promises, but we will make it interesting. Listen at midnight 5/13 and 5/20.
