The Krewe du Vieux Mardi Gras parade rolls past the WWOZ studio on the evening of Saturday, February 7th. Tonight, WWOZ presents an audio preview of the parade with music representing each subkrewe of the parade. Co-hosted by Keith Twitchell, the Krewe du Vieux's parade program guide editor, (Le Mond du ... Manure) we will use music, narration, recorded dialog and video links of this completely unique Krewe. The ultimate New Orleans experience makes the leap to radio (and probably falls to its death).
Of course, we'll be in full Mardi Gras costumes at the studios and so should you at home. We we will be giving out gifts of the "traditional three wishes from Genies" to the best costumed listeners, so sew, sew, sew and call us during the show at 568-1234 to describe your costume.
Show airs from Midnight Saturday to 3am Sunday morning on January 31st/February 1st, 2009. For those wussies who can't stay awake, a link to streaming archived audio of the show will be available by Sunday night at my playlist. Go to:

Important note:
WWOZ is not responsible for winner's subsequent damages from human-genie, traditional-wish, misunderstandings. WWOZ's management strongly advises submission of wishes to Genies in writing and that wishees reserve at least one wish to undo damages from the previous wishes. Genies are not members or agents of WWOZ and WWOZ is not liable if you become the punch line of corny jokes or Pan or worst of all, Captain of Krewe du Vieux.

Sweet! I just got a spot in that Krewe... Thanks for doing this Jamie!
KdV Sunday morning on WWL
Jamie-
When Vice Lee and I taped the show on Thursday, I did not go through my checklist and embarrassingly did not promote the Vieux Doo entertainmant line up: Brass Bands, Eric Lindell and the Zydepunks. (Though I did manage to mention all the places to get tix!)
Please make up for that! TV sucks, Radio Rocks!
THANKS,
GiO
