On Feb 3rd, the Tuesday New Orleans Music Show (11 am - 2 pm) will kick off Carnival with the appearance of Frankie Ford, this year's King of the Krewe Du Vieux. Frankie will be making a two-fold trip as he will also be celebrating the release of a new CD "On the Street Where you Live." A long lost tape of a 1962 recording made at Cosimo's studio, that has been reissued. Also attending the show will be some of the Captains from the Krewe du Vieux who will let you in on the new parade route this year and the close to twenty brass bands that will be entertaining the crowds during the parade Saturday the 7th. Be on the lookout during the parade for show host Tom Morgan as he is a member of the Krewe du Vieux's sub krewe the Krewe De C.R.A.P.S. They will be costuming as sharks in the bankrupt sea. Don't let him get too close as he might bite.
