Smiley Lewis died 50 years ago Friday and in honor of his lasting influence on New Orleans music and R&B in general, WWOZ show host Neil Pellegrin will be sharing a Smiley Lewis tribute on his Tuesday night 1950s R&B show. The show will span 4-5 hours, running over into David Kunian's usual Kitchen Sink show time slot to do so.
