The Pocket Aces Brass Band funk up the traditional brass band sound with brass-hop stylings and youthful energy. The group offers up a repertoire full of New Orleans favorites such as “Feel Like Funkin’ It Up” and originals like the popular “In My City.” The Pocket Aces Brass Band was founded by childhood buddies Jimmie Reamey and Geoffrey Guillot, on trumpet and sousaphone respectively, and recruited a half a dozen fellow musicians to round out the band, including MC Kyle Scivicque, bassist Tomidee Guillot, and trumpeter David Melancon.

The band has become a regular at festivals and club gigs across the region, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Metairie’s Family Gras, and Hammond’s Gnarly Gras.
