The One Shot Brass Band brings its best shot to every performance, whether in the streets or on the stage, as one of New Orleans’ most dynamic brass bands. One Shot was founded in 2012 by a group of Southern University A&M College students who were members of the school's prestigious Human Jukebox Marching Band but needed to make a little money on the side. The band members, all from New Orleans, continue to perform together today, with the group characterized by the precision, professionalism, and musicianship expected from Human Jukebox alumni. One Shot includes both brass band classics and more contemporary tunes in their songbook, and are popular at local festivals, weddings, and second lines, including residencies at clubs like the re-opened Dew Drop Inn.
