Ngoma Numu

Ngoma Numu wears many hats: drummer, house DJ, hand-crafted jewelery maker, and New Orleans native. All these components combine to create a musical sound alive with deep rhythms and spirituality. Ngoma means “drum and dance,” according to the artist, while Numu is “the original black smith.” Thus, Ngoma Numu is “a blacksmith with rhythms,” molding and shaping drum rhythms to create a thriving dancing environment. His self-titled album includes “The Time Keeper” and the dance-heavy “Freak When You See.”
