Loose Cattle

Dubbed “New Orleans favorite cow punks” by OFF BEAT magazine, Loose Cattle is an Americana-roots rock quintet known for their blood harmonies and genre-melding musical dexterity. Double-barreled lead singers Kimberly Kaye and Michael Cerveris switch between blazing rock duets and soulful solos, with standalone fiddler Rurik Nunan joining in at times for three-part vocals that raise the hair on your arms. Driven by legendary rhythm section Rene Coman (bass) and Doug Garrison (percussion), both of The Iguana’s and Alex Chilton’s band, Loose Cattle’s known for what GAMBIT calls their “fun and freewheeling approach to Americana.” They’ve appeared at Jazz Fest, French Quarter Fest, AmericanaFest, NPR’s “Mountain Stage,” Lincoln Center, and your favorite local stages across the Crescent City. Their live shows are beloved for surprise collaborations and special guest features, especially their annual Holiday Wrecktaculars, which are the cure for seasonal depression.
