Lil Red & Big Bad are an energetic blues combo that feature the vocal energy and dynamic stage presence of Nancy “Lil Red” Gros, who grew up in New Orleans on a diet of local funk and R & B, which is reflected in her music today. The band, which includes Jeff “Big Daddy” Ruello on guitar, Dr. Jack Carter on bass, and Ian Petillo on drums, took the local blues world by the horns when it won the 2010 New Orleans Voodoo Blues Challenge, and has since become a crowd favorite at local venues and at festivals around the region. Hit tunes include “Shoes for My Blues” and “I Got an Ace Up My Sleeve.”
