Kyanté

Growing up in the small town of Gibson, Louisiana, Kyanté (KEY-AHN-TAY) has always had big dreams. It wasn't until 2016 she would be able to make her dreams become a reality when she moved to the city of New Orleans. Kyanté has been singing professionally all her life from doing talent shows and theatre at a young age to pursuing a music career in college to now being an emerging R&B/soul artist. The soul singer made a name for herself by showing up and showing out in the New Orleans music scene.

Open mic nights and being a background singer for notable artists in the city established a foundation for the artistshe is today. With experience in classical vocal training and theatre, singer/songwriter Kyanté comes alive on stage! She has performed over 150 shows and still counting! She has performed at multiple festivals such as the Taste of Soul Fest in Atlanta, GA, and Essence Fest! You may catch her at your local music venue playing with her band at venues such as The Balcony Music Club and 30/90 on Frenchmen Street.

Kyanté’s hit single "Cloud 9" aired on New Orleans' #1 station for Hip-hop and R&B, Q93 for over 10 consecutive weeks! With this milestone on the independent artist's resume, came many other blessings such as interviews, shows, features, and official music videos. She has also performed for prestigious events such as singing the National Anthem for the New Orleans Pelicans and performing for Aspire TV’s Jam Session for Black Music Month 2023 with grammy-nominated artists Syleena Johnson! Not only has her music reached listeners across the United States but also in the United Kingdom! Her other hit single "Crown" has been gracing the UK's airwaves on BBCRadio. Kyanté continues to grow in her craft and thrive on stage by creating music from the soul that uplifts, empowers, and is relatable for anyone!
