Kinfolk Brass Band

Kinfolk Brass Band is one of New Orleans' most sought-after brass bands, blending traditional brass band sounds with Mardi Gras Indian chants, New Orleans funk, and modern jazz. Founded by brothers Percy and Richard Anderson in 2005 following Hurricane Katrina, the band has become a cornerstone of the New Orleans brass band renaissance.

Their musical journey includes performances worldwide, from intimate clubs to grand festivals, including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, BCS Allstate Sugar Bowl, and the 2012 Olympics in London. Their 2009 debut album "Bourbon Street Parade" showcases their dynamic style, while their extensive performance schedule - including over 100 weddings and conventions annually - has made them the most requested brass band in New Orleans.

Led by accomplished musicians Percy Anderson (trumpet, saxophone, vocals) and Richard Anderson (brass, vocals), Kinfolk Brass Band delivers high-energy performances that capture the authentic spirit of New Orleans music. Whether leading a second line or performing on stage, they consistently provide engaging entertainment that embodies the city's rich musical heritage.
