The Iceman Special, relatively neew to the scene, rock out with their own unique brand of “NOLA swamp funk,” a self-described “haunting indie rock” with a slightly psychedelic edge, enhanced by the band’s dayglow jumpsuits and original tunes. The quartet includes brothers Will and Charlie Murry, Hunter Romero (from the Cajun rocker Romero family), and guitarist Steve Staples, a local legend for his ownership of International Vintage Guitars. Their latest album, Zycordia, features hits like “Pressure Pleasure.”
