Dr. Mark St. Cyr brings a sense of history to his traditional jazz trumpet stylings; he is a descendant of jazz pioneer Johnny St. Cyr, and himself an alumni of the famous St. Augustine Marching 100. He has played many prestigious festivals and earned high praise for his multidisciplinary music suite, “What We Carry,” an exploration of community trauma.
