Dave Malone is best known as the lead singer and guitarist for the New Orleans Radiators, which has laid down their own brand of funky-rock-blues for over 45 years, touring relentlessly across the country.

Malone was raised in Edgard, Louisiana, and had his life changed when he saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. His older brothers had guitars, and Malone learned to play the songs the family heard on the radio. He migrated to New Orleans and began playing in several local bands before the Radiators formed. The Radiators played with myriad big names, from Warren Haynes and Gregg Alman to Dan Aykroyd and Bruce Willis. With the Rads Malone has recorded over 20 albums and earned a slew of accolades, including a Big Easy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Best of the Beat Lifetime Achievement Award, and induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

With the Radiators retired from touring (although they still play a few local gigs each year, including headlining the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival), Malone began playing in  several Rads offshoots, including Raw Oyster Cult, the Gatorators, and Fishhead Stew. He also is an integral part of the Last Waltz tours, which began initially to celebrate the 40th anniversary of The Band’s legendary 1975 farewell performance, but has since morphed into an annual cross-country extravaganza.
