WWOZ's Groovapedia is what used to be called a portal. It's an entry point into our multi-media and music history content.
Click here for the beta version of Groovapedia; we'll be refining and adding to it.
If you have comments or suggestions, we'd love to hear them at help@wwoz.org.
We constantly publish new content: videos, photos, music history pieces, etc. Most of the time, new content spends a few days (at most) featured on the wwoz.org home page before being displaced.
That content is always available in our WWOZ digital collections. Those include:
- 100s of videos on our YouTube channel and on Vimeo
- Over 30,000 photos in our Flickr collection
- Over 125 locations on A Closer Walk, our music history site
- Collections on WWOZ.org, most recently history pieces in occasioned by Jazz Fest's 50th and the New Orleans Tricentennial.
Groovapedia is a collection of links and specialized search functions that lets you easily access all that content from one interface. Choose one of four main areas (Video, Photos, Music History & Audio & Interviews), and you'll get several featured selections, specialized search functions (for example, one that searches our YouTube channel), and browsable lists of links.
Beware: it's kind of addicting and there are many (entertaining & engaging) rabbit holes to explore.
