A fall weekend in Louis Armstrong Park, with brass bands and Gumbo? Let's do it.
The 5th annual Treme Creole Gumbo Festival will be filling Louis Armstrong Park with soul food and smokin' music November 10-11. The 2012 edition features an all-Brass-Band music lineup that includes The Dirty Dozen, The Soul Rebels, The Hot 8 and The Stooges.
Whether you're looking to get a jump start on that holiday shopping, or treat yourself to a little something special, the festival will also feature an arts market with local, hand-made art, jewelry and crafts.
11am -7:15pm both days. Admission is free (which is awesome!) thanks to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation.
