It just wouldn't be New Orleans without seafood, so come celebrate at the 3rd Annual New Orleans Seafood Festival!
On Thursday, September 24, the pre-party begins with a fundraiser dinner sponsored by the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation and Galatoire's Restaurant in the Harrah's Theatre at 7 p.m. The dinner benefits a cancer-stricken 7th-generation Louisiana shrimper, Ray Brandhurst. Call 504-525-2021 for reservations.
Then come downtown to Fulton and Lafayette Streets (across from Harrah's Hotel & Casino) for the weekend to experience some of the best food and live music this town has to offer. The lineup includes hot acts like the Soul Rebels, Dumpstaphunk, and Amanda Shaw & the Cute Guys.
You can even watch the LSU and Saints football games on huge plasma screens while you listen to the music! There will also be lots of cooking demonstrations throughout the weekend with some of New Orleans' top chefs, including Susan Spicer, John Besh, and many more.
All proceeds for this event will benefit the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation.
