On Monday, January 19 at 11 a.m., WWOZ broadcast musical tributes to Danny Barker by Detroit Brooks & the Syncopated Percolators and Greg Stafford & the Jazz Hounds, recorded live at the Danny Barker Centennial Celebration in the French Market on Saturday. Detroit Brooks & the Syncopated Percolators feat. Juanita Brooks
The all-star band features the great New Orleans jazz singer Juanita Brooks with her brother Detroit Brooks on banjo, Dr. Michael White on clarinet, Freddie Lonzo on trombone, Greg Stafford on trumpet, Steve Pastorius on piano, Jesse Boyd on acoustic bass, and Jerry Anderson, Jr. on the drums.

Greg Stafford & the Jazz Hounds
For their tribute to Danny Barker, the Jazz Hounds featured New Orleans traditional jazz greats Greg Stafford, Dr. Michael White, Freddie Lonzo, Shannon Powell, Seva Venet, and Bernie Attridge. Sylvia Barker, Danny Barker's daughter, made a special appearance at the festival and delighted the crowd with stories about her father's music.
