Tipitina’s & Sonny Schneidau Present: A Tribute To The Queen - Irma Thomas!

This special one-night-only event will feature a performance by our honoree, Irma Thomas, and a star-studded collection of women will pay tribute to Irma by singing classic songs from her extensive catalog of releases. Additionally, Irma, along with Galactic, will preview a few songs from their forthcoming new album Audience With The Queen to be released in 2025. 

This is the sixth installment of fundraising tributes presented by Tipitina’s and produced by Schneidau with Musical Director George Porter, Jr., and will feature performances by Irma Thomas, Galactic, Ani DiFranco, Marcia Ball, Jelly Joseph, Erica Falls, Leyla McCalla, Joy Clark, Susan Cowsill, Gabrielle Cavassa, Sierra Green, Jolynda “Kiki” Chapman and more. The “House Band” for the evening will include George Porter, Jr., David Torkanowsky, Kyle Roussel, Chris Adkins, Terrence Houston, Tony Dagradi, Brad Walker, Tracy Griffin, Jeff Albert, and Phillip Manuel. And our emcee for the night will be Gwen Thompkins (Music Inside Out). 

A portion of the proceeds from the Tribute will be donated to New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic.
