For your weekend viewing pleasure: 56 minutes of the funkiest soul ever dished up, courtesy of James Brown (1933-2006), in Bologna for Italian television in 1971. This is the entire broadcast, including a long-ish intro and several subsequent short interruptions by the show's host, mostly voice-overs. (They happen at 1:35-4:00; 5:10-5:35; 15:50-16:10; 27:32-29:00; and 37:00-37:15. Skip ahead to the 5-and-a-half minute mark to miss most of them).
