Lafayette Square (OUTDOORS)
Lafayette Square, the second oldest park in the City, was founded in 1788 and was originally called “place publique.” Located in the heart of downtown New Orleans, the park is a welcoming green space for workers, residents and visitors to the City.
The Square is named after the American Revolutionary War Hero, Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert Du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette.
