Entergy trucks, neighbors and friendly strangers asking how I'm doing how I fared, Mississippi river bike ride, lights being fixed on Canal Street, news crews packing it up yet some still trying to get the story disappointed they didn't get their Katrina anniversary Emmy winning story, tourists on Bourbon Street trying to see the sights and book swamp tours, beer deliveries, restaurant next to station barker back at it again, lines at Clover Grill, Walgreens on Decatur open, boarded up windows coming down, frozen coffee at Mollys, charging phones with Washboard Chazz, exchanging stories, reading a print copy of the Times Picayunne, heading home to BBQ with friends neighbors and then heading back to Quarters to watch the Saints game. Still no power on the home front, sketchy phone service, but we're fine. Its like camping. Heart goes out to folks in Plaquemines.
