Big Queen Patrice's 7th Ward neighborhood family were mostly members of the Creole Osceola, led by Big Chief Clarence "Delco" Dalcour. Patrice began sewing at age 8, helping her sister make a suit. She joined the Creole Osceolas and demonstrated the seriousness of purpose and excellent sewing, dancing, and signaling skills required by Big Chief Delco. At 13, she was elected Tribe Queen, and Big Queen at age 15. As current Big Queen of the Golden Blades, she is responsible for teaching the children, and for "keeping everything together" by communicating with Big Chief Derick Hullin.
