On this week’s program, to prepare for Mardi Gras 2012, we visit Blaine Kern aka Mr. Mardi Gras, sample King Cakes from two bakeries (Cake Café and Croissant D'Or), and catch up with the Phunny Phorty Phellows as they kick off Carnival season on January 6th, 2012.  The music on this week’s program includes the Hot 8 Brass Band, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Cyril Neville and many more.
